Ozone gas has been used professionally to disinfect, sterilize and deodorize contaminated and potentially contaminated areas for years. It has been proven to kill the SARS coronavirus and since the structure of the Covid-19 virus is almost identical to the SARS coronavirus, it is our best bet to further reduce the spread of Covid-19. The use of ozone gas has an antipathogenic affect that has been substantiated for decades. It is so effective at killing bacteria, viruses, and fungi that it is used to disinfect municipal water supplies in cities worldwide.

An alternative to using ozone to kill the virus is using benzalkonium chloride to fog the space and reduce growth. We use benzalkonium chloride for a number of reasons in our business and is the active ingredient in some sanitizers. While it is not as effective as alcohol and does not kill the virus, it does reduce the growth.
